Thanks for the information. That makes the PV-DV950
a rather nice camcorder! No useable stabilizer, but
there are useable work-arounds, and the picture and
sound are first-class. I almost made the mistake of
selling my EZ30U in favor of the TRV-900 - instead,
I kept both, since each has different strengths and
weaknesses. If a hefty side-handle (a still-camera
flash-bracket) is added, the stabilizer is not
needed for the first 2/3rds of the
zoom range, I find.
