Gosh, funny you should ask...;-)
On my web page is a comparison review article
of many Mini-DV camcorders (listed near the end
of the "I babble" index...). Go to the VX-2000
entry to see comparison frame grabs from the
VX-2000 and TRV-900 (and VX-1000 and EZ30U...).
To sum it up: the TRV-900 has one of the best
video pictures around, and at infinity it is
similar to the VX-2000; at close room-distances,
the VX-2000 image looks better, and in low light,
the VX-2000 also looks better (though the TRV-900
is one of the best low-light camcorders...).
For a good all-around camcorder in a moderate-
size/weight package at an OK price, the TRV-900
is hard to beat; for more money and greater size
and weight, the VX-2000 is better in most ways,
with the best image quality I have yet seen in
a Mini-DV camcorder... (but is it night-and day
better...? ;-).
