It's "newer" in the sense that Panasonic recently introduced
the 950, and even more recently introduced the ???-10
shoulder-mount - but the ???-10 is based on the guts of the
same older EZ30U, and the 950 is the same as the older
EZ30U but for the metalic body color instead of black.

BTW, I forgot to mention in the other thread that the EZ30U
has an unuseable stabilizer. More interesting, pehaps, is
the new Panasonic DV-951...
