The EZ30U (Pan. "pro" division version of the 950) is

It is more limited in low light ability than the
TRV-900, and has fewer controls - but I did like
the picture, and the sound (and it is a bit lighter
and smaller than the TRV-900). It tends to jump
when adjusting AE, and AWB is easily fooled (though
when working well, the color balance is very neutral
(more neutral than any other camera I have tried).
Providing a high-capacity battery for it is much
harder and more expensive than for the TRV-900 - and
picture sharpness is so-so under medium illumination
levels. Overall, I think they are about equal in
quality, but different in characteristics (and I
just sold the EZ30U and bought another TRV-900...).
