Before getting, uh, too excited about this..., be aware
that the "X-ray" aspect was little more than a hoax
(and Sony disabled this wonderful feature [daylight IR
capability] for nothing...). BTW, there are frame-grabs
showing the IR effect in daylight on my web site.
Go to the "I babble" index, to the video section, to
the camcorder reviews, to the TRV-9 review, and then
to the daylight-IR samples... BTW, if you find one
of the older Mini-DV or Hi-8 cameras with the feature
enabled, putting on a simple red filter (and switching
to B&W-mode) will work fine. It will even work without
a filter, and a bit better with a no. 87 and sometimes
a bit better yet with a polarizer added - though you
will not, er, "see through clothes" with it...;-)
