The problem is not vignetting, it is sharpness - this is just not a good
combination, unfortunately (though possibly useable at small stops).
The only TC that I have seen that works with this really excellent lens
is the TC14A, but the resultant FL is hardly longer (and no faster)
than you would get with a good 70-210 f4 E (or early AF) zoom...
