The TC14 and TC14B are identical except for one being AI, the other,
AIS (the TC14C is different optically, as is the TC14A, which is designed for shorter lenses, and will fit on the 180mm ED [and 180mm
AF, which physically will not fit the others]). If the 180mm f2.8 ED
will not fit the TC14, it is not because of the optics, but the
presence of a rear light baffle with an opening that is too small
for the projecting front element of the converter to fit into, alas.
