In the Sony line, it is easy: PCxx = tiny, upright
body; TRVxx, etc. are the same cameras, basically,
but in compact conventional-style bodies; TRV900
is 3-chip; TRVxxx (lower numbers) is D-8; VX1000,
2000 is 3-chip fancy; PD100a, 150, etc. is DVCam
version of 3-chip TRV, VX cameras... Simple, huh? ;-)
To further confuse things, the PC numbering order
(for date of appearance) is (in US): PC-7, 10, 1,
100, 5, 110, with 2 and 3 not appearing here, if
I got it right...;-)
