No manual that I've ever heard of (including the several
Sony manuals I have) ever recommends a tape brand or
mentions the problem many have experienced when mixing
brands - and I have a bunch of Sony type-II mini-DV on
the shelf I have not dared try yet, and I would like to
know if it is compatible with the older-type Sony tape,
if it has been reformulated to be compatible with other
brands. Lotsa uncertainties..., but I have experienced
the tape brand-mixing problem.
