Ah, so this hoax is bound to circle the globe, in almost no time...;-)
Unfortunately, as a result, Sony camcorders with daylight "night-shot"
ability may no longer be available. Daylight B&W IR video is rather fun to shoot (white foliage, black sky and water, etc.), and I'm happy
to have a TRV-9 with the ability to shoot this way. I wonder if it
occurred to Sony that the "see-through" ability would also exist at
night, so only disabling the ability to use it in daylight seems
rather silly.....;-) For virtually all cloth types, the IR
"night-shot" effect produces no "see-through" ability.
