It appears to use the "front end" of the VX-2000
(a very nice camera - reviewed at:
http://www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/sony_dcr-vx2000.htm ),
but with more controls, a better VF, and a longer
tape load. BTW, the flip-out screen is good enough
for spotting gross WB errors, but not fine ones
unless you get good at interpreting WB through
its errors...
