In Premiere, if you stick with even proportions like 50%, 33%,
25% - then in "field options" select "flicker removal", then
"frame blending" the results are not bad... (you can
also process the sound in Sound Forge XP-4 to restore pitch
to normal). BTW, hitting slow-mo on the remote while
capturing also kinda works, though without the sound track.
