But - why turn a good system SLR into a big/heavy/so-so
P&S??? The F100 is a great camera body - mate great
(non-zoom) lenses with it instead (see Nikon list for
evaluations - some are really wonderful, FAR better
[and easier to use] than either zoom...). If you want
a good P&S, there are better choices than an F100
with a couple of big zoom lenses on it. Or, try an
FG or FM2 with a good compact zoom (28-70mm f3.5-4.5)
to keep the size/weight/cost-for-quality balance
reasonable. Otherwise you are stuck with a very
expensive/heavy/large system with lenses that perform
(reasonably...) well only when stopped down to an
awkward f8-11 or so...
