The 16A and 17 are F3 flashes...
The 16 is large, heavy, has the manual zoom feature.
The 17 is very compact, only somewhat less powerful
(both set at 35mm...), and it folds in various ways
allowing the light source to be set above the lens
for vertical photos, a very useful feature! If you
don't need max. power for tele work, get the 17. BTW,
with the AS-7 shoe or the SC-14 TTL remote cord, you
can even get TTL fill-ratio ability (with film speeds
under 400ASA) - just set a higher ASA on the shoe
or cord ASA ring by the amount you want the flash to
underexpose...
