I read you posting about you conversion of the Nikon FAQ to HTML. I had a
quick look at it and it seems fine. Breaking it down into smaller files
is a big improvement, the old one took ages to load.
The FAQ has two lists for rating lenses optically, but nothing with lens
specifications. Many questions in the Nikon Digest could be answered if
people had access to this information. Most of this info is available on the
net (Dr. Walter Pietsch) but mosly on a lens-by-lens basis for current models
only. I thought that a concise and comprehensive list of lens specs might be
useful. My attempt (far from complete) is below. Ideally it would be nice to
include more info; such as Nikon case, lens hood, compatible tele-converters,
independant lens ratings and comments, making this a 'one-stop' source of info.
However the table would get rather large. Let me know what you think.
