The snap-ons are likely not to be "zoom-through" types, but
otherwise may be OK. I'm familiar only with the older Raynox
Pro .5X. which was quite good. The HD-6600Pro is .66X, so
I would probably recommend the .7X Canon WD-58, which I know
is excellent on the VX-2000, and the non-zoom-through
Sony VCL-ES06, which is wider and OK (see the frame grabs
in the VX-2000 review, at:
www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder-comparison.htm ).
If you try the Raynox XL-3000PRO .3X snap-on, let me know
how it is...;-)
It is easier to find good zoom-through .5X converters for
the 52mm-front VX-1000 and other smaller-front
camcorders....
