If you *must* try it, buy it from www.bhphotovideo.com,
since their return policy is very nice, and if you care
much about image quality, you *will* be returning it...
(the color-fringing over much of the frame is HORRENDOUS,
and the edges/corners are not very sharp. Most cheap
Series-VII .42X converters outperform it, though they
are not as wide - and some do not fit the VX2000 very
well.
