I hope I'm wrong about this, but it appears that Canopus,
in its "infinite wisdom", has deleted the hardware overlay
capability (and audio meters) from its software, versions
2.11-2.12a - all that are now available for download from
the Canopus site... Which means, if you want to use
Premiere 6, you cannot have the superior (in speed and
*especially* sharpness) full-size, full-speed hardware
monitor overlay (one of the big advantages of the Raptor
card over others, in addition to the excellent DV-codec
and TV output).
It looks like I will stay with Premiere 5.01 and sell my
two Premiere 6 copies, due to this stupid move on the part
of Canopus (not known for bad design, or stupid "corporate"
moves, normally...). This is ANNOYING!!!!
If you want to continue using the Raptor with its very
useful hardware overlay feature, stay with Premiere 5
(6 is no big deal, anyway, for my purposes...), and
*PRESERVE* version 2.01 of the Raptor software and the
P-5 updates!
