Are you saving often? This alone (saving after no more than
maybe 5 edit changes) will keep Premiere from crashing in
some set-ups - and it WILL crash if saving is not done often
enough...). Otherwise, 128megs should be enough unless you
are trying to play parametric-EQ'd sound tracks without
first rendering. RAM is CHEAP these days (about
$20/128megs), so adding 128 or 256 megs is easy, even if
not essential...
