No RAID needed - any recent 5400rpm UDMA drive is probably
fast enough for Mini-DV editing. It is more useful to have
multiple drives for video material, since it is faster and
easier to clean up storage drives by moving files around
than by defragging large drives. A RAID set-up will not
significantly speed up any operation of interest
in Mini-DV editing...
