Another possibility: if you have rendered the transition,
then adjust the audio "rubber bands" (at least with P-5),
that may mess up the video previews and show the effect
you describe. Another possibility (in addition to the
others of others...): you previewed the transition in the
transition window but forgot to return the sliders to
their correct locations for a complete transition.
