Hmmm...... Methinks you may need to spend a little time
with the manual, or, better, with someone who uses
Premiere... For the specifics above, anytime you place
the purple bar at the top of the timeline over a section
of video and audio on the timeline and hit the enter key,
Premiere will create preview files of anything changed
from the original files, but not of unchanged sections
of video (ideally, if Premiere is set up properly...),
and indicate the created files with thin lines near the
"work area" purple bar area... Raptor is able to use
those preview files for direct playback of the edited
video through the FireWire to tape in the camcorder,
without needing to make additional AVI files and
substituting them on the timeline (though this can be
useful if the rendered area is very complex and takes
up a lot of vertical space on the timeline).
