The "innards" are virtually identical to the tiny
Panasonic AG-EZ30U/PV-DV950, compared with the
VX2000 and GL-1 (and others - though those two
should not be mentioned in the same sentence...!;-),

comparisons between the 30U and 2000...
The short of it is that (with the problems noted),
I would prefer the Panasonic to the Canon, but the
Sony is easily better than either... And, the
DVC10 appears to be a really odd model, burying
a primarily-auto tiny camera inside a big case.
At the price, though, it is a decent, moderately
good performer, but with very limited low-light
range... I prefer the Sony TRV900 at about the
same price.
