Hi--
I'm writing to you in order to get your opinion on the usefulness of progressive scan when I'm going to use a camcorder for filming my golfswing ? I would like to be able to watch blur free freeze frames on TV (and PC monitor). What is the relation between progressive scan and 'shutter speed' ? I thought only shutter speed mattered but I'm being a little confused about all the different postings about progressive scan.
I'm sure you're able to straighten things out a little bit, so thanks in advance for your reply.

Shutter speed and PS vs. interlaced are two different things...
Interlacing is the use of alternate scan lines to form two
fields per frame (for TV - computer monitors are not interlaced).
Choose the mode for the viewing medium for motion-video, though
for still frames, PS-mode may be preferable even for TV-viewing.
I suspect you have in mind one of the few uses for which PS
may be the best choice...;-)
