I've had good luck with the motion-tool, but using even
proportions for the zoom, like 50%, 33%, 25%. Difficult to
get right, but you can also try using the "zoom" transition to
place things. Alternately, shoot original video with the
image masked off at the front of a matte-box on the camera,
and clean up the results in the editor...;-)
