The PD100a and TRV900 are virtually the same camera in
terms of image, so you are unlikely to see improvement by
switching, except possibly in the area of dropouts under
poor conditions. As for the VX-2000, its advantages
generally show most at short focus distances under
medium-low and lower light levels, unlikely to be
encountered under skydiving conditions. ("Oz" has some
other good comments, above, on the VX2000 for this use.)
