If you have a PAL model, the shutter speed is slower than it
is for NTSC, though this may make no difference in the
display - in my NTSC version of the PC9, there is no problem
with the menu display (except that I detest having to
operate the camera menus using a touch-screen instead of
the better button-plus-wheel method...! ;-).

Books can be written on this, but you need a suitable
FireWire card and software to down/up-load and edit on
the computer - and a compressor and CD-writer to move
video to CD...

Try reformatting the Memory Stick while it is inside
the camera - this will maximize the available recording
space...
