I have a PC100 (similar to, but not identical to the PC110
in body shape) and a TRV30 (one day...). I find the PC100
VERY easy and "natural" to hold, and find the controls
easy to use (uncluding the zoom slider); the TRV30, possibly
due to having less experience with it, is OK to handle for
everything but the zoom - I have not been able to zoom at
one speed consistently, or shift speeds predictably (maybe
this will change...). First impressions: the sound from
both is good, the picture from both is very sharp, but
while the PC100 (PC110) shows considerable "buzziness"
in the picture along contrasty edges with motion, the
TRV30 appears possibly even worse in this respect, alas...
Some types of subjects are best avoided with both of these
cameras (and the not too much more expensive [in the US]
3-chip TRV900 has a smoother picture, with better tonality).
The color of the PC100 and TRV30 are both excellent, but
the 30 balance is a tad warmer, and the saturation of some
colors appears a tad higher (the motion-picture appearance
of the two cameras was closer than I expected - if I had
known that, I probably would not have bought the TRV30...).
About those online stores with amazingly low prices:
don't be fooled - the total price shipped, with only the
accessories *you* want (plus what *should* be included
in the base price) is what is of interest, not the
"come-on" price... Try bhphotovideo.com, cameraworld.com
(price-matches "real" dealer prices) for good sellers.
