The extra chips on the VX-2000 (in particular) get you
better color, better real sharpness, much better low-light
ability, and (maybe most important) fewer negative picture
artifacts (the picture will look "smoother", with less
"stairstepping", contrasty-edge "halos", etc.). In good
light, the differences may be subtle unless you know what to
look for, but in low light, the differences will be VERY obvious...
