This question comes up about every two minutes on the video
NGs, and the answer is, if it is DV, the best and cheapest
storage is saving the original tape (with a copy made in
another FireWire connected camera, if you are VERY concerned
about security...). All other solutions reduce quality, have
higher risk, and/or are more expensive. DV tape is cheap
from on-line discounters, and reliable and compact as a
storage medium, if stored properly...
