Ah, but many of us prefer simpler cameras, and may not want the N90s
back/feature-set - and then there are the very real issues of resale
value if you trade/sell later, or if you do not, of old/new compatibility
(Canon seems willing to yank the rug out from under its current user
base, Nikon does not). In both these areas, Nikon is superior. And
some of us actually do generally prefer Nikkor lenses and bodies
(there is less picking-and-choosing required among the lenses in the
Nikon line for high optical performance, though both lines have excellent examples of both lenses and bodies - I just prefer Nikon lenses and bodies...;-).
