They range from bottom-end "el-cheapos", to very
expensive and good - but I find it hard to understand
the advantage of offering expensive lenses without
an aperture ring, which makes them hard to use
on older bodies... Nikon used to be very considerate
of users of older Nikon gear, and kept the gear
backwards/forward compatible - but this great idea
appears to have been abandoned, alas...
