I use a pair of shielded PSB Alphas (you can see my old
set-up on the first page of my web site) with a mini-receiver
(running off a Turtle Beach Tropez sound card...) - these
are inexpensive, wide-range, smooth speakers that have worked
well for me. I added a cheap pair of IBM powered computer speakers
to the TV, for an alternate sound system (it plays off the audio outputs
of the mini-DV camcorder I use as FireWire translator...).
