It is inferior in one important aspect: finder sharpness. I find manual
focus quick and easy with an 8008, difficult and slow with the N90.
Since I don't like or use the auto features of either camera (except TTL
flash), the lower price, sharper finder, and relative simplicity of the
8008 are attractive to me. The 8008 also shows a +/- two-stop meter range
in the finder (as opposed to the N90's +/- one), which is more useful
when doing snow, and other manual-exposure compensations.
Just one opinion....
