Most (all?) Mini-DV tapes are made by two companies,
Sony and Panasonic. Since these probably still should
not be mixed (no REALLY solid info ever appears on
this, alas...), these two are the most easily identified
and are both available cheap from tape discounters.
Both offer more than one grade (the picture and sound
will be identical on all, but long-term storage ability
may vary...).
