For deck use, the camera resolution rating is irrelevant;
the medium maximum is 540 lines in Mini-DV. Any camera with
an analogue input should work fine as a recording deck,
though I guess they could vary a bit in the quality
of the A->D (and D->A...) conversion... Either of the
above (and many others) should work fine - though there
are differences when these are used for shooting - see:
