In terms of freedom from jaggy edges on letters and
other keying problems, CG-Infinity is excellent, though
somewhat limiting in what 3-D type-designs one can use...
(just bring a video clip into CG-Infinity to overlay
type, rather than the other way around). Cool 3-D has
more interesting effects, but it is hard to put type
cleanly over video (it's not bad over still-frames,
though, and excellent on plain-color backgrounds...).
I have less use for Video Paint and such than for easy
editing of 2-4 camera shoots and lots of audio tracks,
which Premiere does well - and I modify almost all
sound tracks, which Premiere also does well. I hear
MSP-6 does a better job with importing digital still
files than Premiere, but I have not found that MSP-5.2
does...
