For an inexpensive short-shotgun mic with a mini-plug, it is
pretty good (and relatively insensitive to wind problems).
Its frequency-response is a bit "saddle-back" (sagging in
the middle, peaking at the ends), but for most work this
is OK, and it can easily be equalized later, if desired.
I use these in pairs, slightly off-set in direction, for
a kind of "stereo" effect - but the EQ problems are greater
when used this way.
