This has not been my experience with Sony camcorders - I can
interchange LP-tapes/camcorders-in-LP-mode among about 13
Sony camcorders (+ one transport-head replacement) without
problems. When necessary, I now master to two copies in LP
mode, and even to the 80-minute tapes in LP mode, so far
without problems...
