BY FAR the eyepiece VF - the LCD is useless in
most well-lit environments for more than rough
framing. Depending on VF quality, the eyepiece
finder can serve for accurate framing, and for
color and exposure evaluation (with experience).
The LCD panel finder is OK for "over-the-head"
shots, and is quite useful for interior work,
especially when a tripod is used. BTW, I have
not found LCD "hoods" useful enough to bother
with...
