Both require rendering, so the codec quality will affect
resulting quality. In addition, you may need to play with
field dominance. For inverting the picture (P-5), I use the
motion tool, rotation: 180 degrees, position: 0, .5, field
order: "reverse field dominance", and with the Raptor
codec the inverted image quality is equal to the original.
