Yes, a night-vision scope can be adapted to
a camcorder ('member thoz ree-sent nyt shotz
frum Bagdad....?), but the image and point of it
is different... Night-vision amplifies available
light, IR uses invisible light (which must be
provided, if the light level is low...). I
like the *daylight* IR images that can be made
with the "nightshot" feature of the
(un-de-tuned-by-Sony...) TRV-9 (in B&W mode...),
which gives black skies and water, and white
clouds and foliage (the effect is increased with
red or IR filtration, and an added polarizer).
