Sony "corrected" (the non-existent...) problem, alright - by
disabling a great feature: daylight IR capability (useful
for B&W shooting of landscapes - some samples are on my
web page at: http://www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/camcorder-comparison.htm
look under the TRV-9 review). The "see-through" aspect is
silly - only certain open-weave cloths work, and if a
second layer is there, there is no "see-through" to
worry about (much to-do about nothing...).
