This is true, though I have noticed something odd: I seem to get
my most consistently accurate focus with the F3 sportsfinder (the
"super HP finder" with the 1"x1.5" eyepiece), which has the lowest
magnification of all three types of F3 prisms I have. The HP type
finders combine slightly lower image magnification with larger
eyepieces (and prisms) to provide more "black space" around the
viewing screen at a given viewing distance - or to provide greater
viewing distance when the whole viewing screen can just be seen.
