The VX2000 is reviewed here, and compared with some other
cameras: www.David-Ruether-Photography.com/sony_dcr-vx2000.htm,
the GL2 is too new to have been tried... By the specs and chip
types, there appears to be a difference in low-light range
favoring the VX2000 (and the Sony picture characteristics
generally tend to be more neutral than Canon's, with lower
artifacting), but the GL2 does offer some nice design
features. Probably either will serve well (until experience
with both reveals more about specifics, making a choice
possibly more definite...), but the VX2000 is a known
"quantity", and excellent...
