Several things...
- With slide film, anything heavier than -1 2/3rds
stop fill looks too "flash heavy" to me - ideally,
the shadows are lightened slightly, but without
any "flash look"...
- With TTL flash, changing the settings on the
flash will have no actual effect on exposure - the
settings are for informational purposes only...
- With the FE2 and a TTL flash, it is possible to
set up a TTL fill-ratio (in whole stops) by setting
the ASA high by the fill ratio desired (set ASA 400
on the camera for 100 ASA film and 2-stop fill ratio,
for instance), then read (in manual mode) the exposure
(at the shutter speed two below what you would normally
use, in this instance). Remember, though, that the
FE2 permits TTL flash only up to 400-500 ASA, so
higher values cannot be used, limiting the speed of
the film this method can be used with to about 200-250
ASA (for one stop fill ratio...).
