The instruction book says 1000 ASA, but I regularly use it above that
(Ektapress 1600, with flash set for fill TTL [effectively even higher
ASA]), and I checked with a flash meter, and quit at 3200 ASA, as I
recall - it just kept giving me the right readings..... I also did
B&W film checks, just upping the ASA with no other changes, and the
density kept going down. It is hard to find good, reliably-rated
slide films at those speeds, though, to try that....;-). If the
person was shooting too close to the subject (minimum distance
gets mighty long with fast film, unless the flash is filtered),
that might explain the over-exposure.
