LED not on -- flash not on, or not recycled.
LED on -- flash on, sufficiently recycled to fire
(though it may not be fully recycled).
LED flashing -- fault indicated - reseat flash on shoe,
check to see that too high (over 400ASA) has not been set
(or compensation has not been used that would effectively
make for higher-than-400ASA meter setting [some FE-2
bodies go to 500...]).
LED flashing just after exposure, just before recycling --
flash dumped whole charge, may have underexposed film.
(No indication for overexposure...)
