The FA has an interchangeable viewing screen system that allows the
screen to be locked in place even when it has not been carefully centered
within the retaining frame. If it is off center (one side out
of the frame), focus will be incorrect (and focus will be different
at the two screen sides). Maybe more likely, the screen is mounted
upside down... (not easy, with the tab on the screen, but maybe possible).
Another possibility: the prism bottom surface is hazy.
(As I think about it, this seems the most likely of the above...)
