With slow films, the slow sync isn't too bad..., and the
F3 had the ability (with the AS-7 or SC-14 remote cord)
to do TTL fill ratios automatically (by setting different
film speeds on the two available ASA rings). BTW, the
ambient-light meter can be made to stay on when the
flash is on by taping over the middle of the three
flash contacts on the shoe (you lose the VF ready light
and the auto-setting of safe sync speeds, though...).
